Gone
Scurrying around,
Loud and scary,
Tear drip down the victims faces.
The grey smoke vapors out of the ruins,
Red blood streams from everybody,
As they emerge from the rubble.
Screams come from the cold roads,
As the men exit the remains,
With the deceased bodies.
There were more tears than anyone could imagine,
There was more heartbreak than anyone wanted,
There were so many families ripped in two.
Their dads, sons, mothers, daughters, aunties and uncles gone,
Their family broken into a million pieces,
In a matter of seconds.
On this day we will remember,
The hero, the men and the women who risked their lives,
Too try and save the lives of others,
And to gather the bodies of others.
